Sigma Agents is now generally available. For me, this launch is also a story about the engineering culture at Sigma. Sigma Agents started with a quick prototype called “chat element”: a way to chat with the data in your workbook and take actions. The prototype generated so much excitement internally that we started sharing it with customers early. Their feedback helped shape it through private beta, public beta, and now GA. Since the public beta launch, Sigma Agents was used by 1000+ organizations to build 6,000+ agents that powered 500,000+ conversations. The product today goes far beyond that first prototype. Many people have put tremendous work into expanding what it can do and making it ready for enterprise use. But the essence of that original idea lives on. Giving engineers the space to imagine what we should build—and the support to bring it to customers—is one of the things I’m most proud of about Sigma’s culture. Congratulations to everyone who helped bring Sigma Agents to GA. https://lnkd.in/gbttTBkG

We're excited to announce the winners of the latest Builder Challenge Qualifier on Sigma Public 🏆 Join us in congratulating our 1st-place winner, Kiana Cauwels, who will advance to the next round at Workflow 2027! This month's challenge focused on facilitating an internal Hackathon. Our judges loved Kiana's agent-forward design, which helped users not only come up with new ideas but also complete the sign-up process. Kiana's fun and playful color palette and design were also a big hit. We also want to congratulate our 2nd-place winner, Carter Williams, and 3rd-place winner, Vo Anh. See all of the winners and submissions here ➜ https://lnkd.in/g4dMxYXQ Want to test your building skills? Our next round kicks off on October 5.

Here's what nobody tells you about scaling AI agents: the hard part was never getting one agent to work. It's knowing which of the forty you built are still running, what they cost, and whether anyone's still reading the output. That's the problem the new agent management page solves. Every Sigma Agent, one view: tokens, owner, access, a full execution log for every single run. Auditable by design, not by request. Sigma Agents are GA now. Build them without code. Govern them without guessing. https://lnkd.in/dg6AQbNs

Sigma Agents are GA today. Run them from a workbook, from Claude or ChatGPT through our MCP server, from your own app through the API, or on a schedule in the background. Wherever work happens in your organization, the agent shows up. It carries context of the warehouse and your analytics, permissions/authentication from your single source, can integrate warehouse agents, MCP's to external agents and apps, and are shareable with your colleagues. Thousands of Sigma customers have already proven that building an agent is easy for everyone. But the most important part is for the IT team: Every agent is visible from a single page. We have made cost, governance and observability simple. The easier it is to build something, the more critical the requirement for operational simplicity. Scale agent democratization with Sigma. https://lnkd.in/gbS5dkGd

NEW: Sigma Agents are now GA. With this release, an agent you build in Sigma can run wherever the work happens. Run one from Claude or ChatGPT, connect API and MCP tools to execute external actions, embed it in a workbook, or set it on a schedule — all under the pre-existing permissions a user already has. This release also makes Sigma Agents easier to use and manage across your entire organization: • Users can review past conversations and pick up where they left off with chat history. • Admins get a unified view of every Sigma Agent, including token usage, accessed data, and ownership details. Prizes include a $100 gift card, Apple AirPods, and a trip to San Francisco to compete onstage at Workflow 2027, our annual conference for Sigma builders. See the full rules and be sure to submit by Sept 28: https://lnkd.in/giYkbBts

Astha Bilimoria was introduced to Sigma at a Women in Data event in Boston, and later used it firsthand when her company adopted the platform. Having already worked with several tools, Sigma stood out for how intuitive it was to pick up as a builder. Since then, she's kept building through Workout Wednesdays, community-authored, bite-sized recreation challenges she uses to learn Sigma. They help her "learn about new Sigma features as they're introduced and practice them in focused challenges." Her advice for anyone thinking about building in Sigma Public? "Just start building! Don't worry about making something perfect at first. Bring in a dataset, start exploring, and make it a goal to try something new each time you build."
