In the 12-minute video below, Veriten Partner John Sommers speaks with Eric Owski, CEO & Co-Founder of Treehouse. Eric explains how Treehouse's software-enabled installation platform brings pricing transparency and a single point of ownership to home and commercial electrification, removing the friction that's held back adoption. Treehouse recently launched a strategic collaboration with Eaton to accelerate EV charging and electrification at scale. We are very excited about Treehouse's unique ability to reduce the cost and complexity of electrification across numerous products and end markets. Ellen Wilkirson Robert Kester Maynard Holt

Toyota Texas is considering a NEW $2 BILLION vehicle assembly line near its existing San Antonio manufacturing complex. According to filings submitted to the Texas Comptroller’s Office, the proposed “Project Orca” expansion would be built between 2026 and 2030 and could create roughly 2,000 jobs. Toyota plans to hire 320 workers in 2028, 1,440 in 2029, and another 240 in 2030. See EVinfo.net's article: https://lnkd.in/gWukCRPH The expansion would add to Toyota’s growing footprint in Texas. The automaker is already constructing a separate $531 million rear axle facility expected to create about 400 jobs. That 500,000-square-foot plant is scheduled to begin ramping production in 2027. Toyota Motor Corporation is seeking a 10-year tax incentive package through Texas’ Jobs, Energy, Technology and Innovation Act. Southwest ISD has already expressed support for the proposal. The timing comes as Toyota North America rapidly expands its EV presence in North America after years of criticism for moving slowly on fully electric vehicles. Toyota now has four major EV models available or launching in North America: the refreshed Toyota bZ, the new Toyota C-HR EV, the rugged Toyota bZ Woodland, and the Lexus RZ luxury EV. The updated bZ now offers improved range, faster charging, battery preconditioning, more horsepower, and access to the North American Charging Standard (NACS). Some trims deliver up to 314 miles of range. The electric C-HR adds up to 338 horsepower and standard AWD, while the bZ Woodland targets adventure buyers with 375 horsepower and up to 3,500 pounds of towing capacity. Beyond Texas, Toyota continues expanding its North American manufacturing network, including its massive North Carolina battery facility, expected to become one of the continent’s largest battery plants. Toyota still supports a “multi-pathway” strategy including hybrids, plug-in hybrids, hydrogen, and battery EVs. But the company’s growing factory investments and expanding EV lineup show Toyota is no longer cautiously testing the EV market in North America. It is scaling up aggressively. Toyota has also partnered with Treehouse to simplify home EV charger installation for Toyota and Lexus EV customers. I had the great honor of speaking with Liz Faralli, CMO at Treehouse. Treehouse offers: Residential EV charging Home battery backup Multi-family & commercial EV charging Electrical panel & circuit work EVinfo.net is an EV-influencer led publication, offering sponsored articles, interviews and more to the EV industry. • We said SOC 2 Type II was next. It's here! 🎉 Treehouse has officially achieved SOC 2 Type II compliance, and we couldn't be more proud of our team that made it happen. Type II goes beyond Type I. It's not just confirmation that the right security controls are in place. It's independent, third-party verification that those controls operated consistently and effectively over time. It's the gold standard for SaaS security, and it's what our partners and their customers deserve. This is an important milestone, but not the finish line! We continuously monitor, test, and improve our systems to stay ahead of evolving security and compliance standards. Huge congratulations to our CTO Jeremy Lwanga and the entire team who made this happen and make security a priority every day.
