The more consumers shop with AI, the more brands may need creators. 🤳 It sounds counterintuitive, but new data suggests trust in AI recommendations and trust in creators may be more connected than you’d expect. And that’s creating an interesting new role for creator content in the path to purchase. More in our latest Influencer Marketing Trends roundup. The realities of building a disruptor brand shape how you approach every part of the growth system. 🏗️ When you’re working with a leaner team, tighter budget, and concentrated channel mix, the way you prioritize and invest in growth has to account for a very different operating reality. That’s why we built the 📙 2026 Disruptor Growth Playbook. This edition, built for early- to mid-stage consumer brands, brings the creative-led growth system into the realities of disruptor growth, mapping the challenges and sticking points these brands are facing and where the system still gives them room to win. Inside, we tackle questions like: 📱 How do you move beyond concentration on the platform that powered early growth? 🖼️ Are you producing more creative than you can meaningfully test, or not enough to find what actually moves performance? 🤳 What happens when a creator program built for an earlier stage can no longer scale efficiently? 📊 Can your teams agree on what’s driving performance, or are different tools telling different stories? 🛍️ Is your creative actually creating new reasons to buy, or repeating the same ideas in different executions? ⛓️💥 What gets lost when creative, media, and measurement become fragmented? The playbook is about what comes after the early growth formula stops being enough, and how disruptors can build for what comes next without losing the edge that got them here. Download the 2026 Disruptor Growth Playbook via the link in the comments. 📙 💬 #DisruptorBrands #DTCGrowth

September TikTok is here and it’s nothing if not versatile. 📲 🔀 From product reveals to a very roastable country song, this month isn’t just about what’s trending, but how your brand can get in on it. Here are the September TikTok trends dominating the scroll: 🎀 My American Girl Doll A natural fit for CPG and consumer brands with something worth showing off. Think limited-edition drops, seasonal patterns, new colorways, product upgrades, or anything your team is disproportionately excited about. 📸 What I Looked Like When Here’s one for the brands that didn’t listen to the haters. Start with an early version of your product, or a photo of your founder from the early days, then layer on the doubt, criticism, or “that’ll never work” energy people threw your way. Cut to what happened next and let the success speak for itself. 🔨 Down Goes the Whiskey Roast Industries with recognizable sounds, this one’s for you. Construction, transportation, kitchens, manufacturing and beyond can riff on the “blank goes the blank” formula in Luke Bryan’s new song with clanks, booms, chimes, and beeps from their world. Think “bang goes the hammer” or “clink goes the spoon.” 🥤 How Could This Day Get Any Better Food and beverage brands, you’ve got an easy win here. Start with one product, then tilt the camera to reveal something more exciting: your whole product lineup. It’s a simple way to show off flavors, varieties, bundles, or a fully stocked shelf. 👗 The Freak Dress Reveal Calling all fashion brands: use the transition to reveal a new fall drop or give a bestseller its main-character moment. The built-in before-and-after is perfect for showing off movement, fit, and the finished look. We broke down these trends, plus more of the moments shaping TikTok this month on the blog. Find the full September rundown in the comments. 💬 #TikTokTrends

ADWEEK, we meet again. 👋 For the fourth year running, New Engen has been named to ADWEEK’s Fastest Growing Agencies list (and it still feels just as good as the first time)! A lot has changed in the past decade, but our focus has stayed the same: we’ve kept investing around where marketing is headed and what our clients will need next. To borrow Justin Hayashi’s words: “We’ve continued to make deliberate bets on where marketing is going and invest in the people and capabilities our clients will need when it gets there. That has opened new relationships, expanded existing ones and allowed us to keep evolving without losing the entrepreneurial mindset that built New Engen.” We’re lucky to have a team that keeps finding ways to make the work better, and clients who keep giving us the opportunity to do more of it. 💚 👩💻 More on ADWEEK’s 2026 Fastest Growing Agencies + our GlobeNewswire feature over on the blog. The link is waiting for you in the comments. 💬 #ADWEEK

More doesn’t always mean better. At least when it comes to Meta ad performance. 📊 A team can produce 20 new ads this month, iterating on a performing concept with different hooks, edits, and CTAs and still be communicating the same message without giving customers a new reason to respond. On Meta, that distinction matters. Assets work against each other when they share repetitive themes and visual styles. Diversification is required to give Meta's system the signal it needs to personalize ads delivery at scale, says Ashley Foster, Creative Partnership Lead at Meta. While iteration plays an important role in the ad concepting process, most brands treat it as a substitute for diversification rather than a complement. Iteration without diversification can cause fatigue. Diversification without iteration can leave value on the table by failing to fully develop the concepts that show promise. So if the goal is better Meta ad performance, focus on stronger creative signal: ✅ Create meaningful variety. Use diversification to introduce different messages, motivations, and reasons to respond. ✅ Extend what’s working. Use iteration to refine and prolong high-performing concepts. The strongest creative systems use both with intention, because the real value comes from how they work together. 📗 The 2026 Growth Playbook goes deeper on how iteration and diversification fit into a creative-led growth system. Dig deeper and find the download link in the comments. ⬇️
