Big news for early learning access in Burien 🎉 Neighborhood House is one of eight King County organizations sharing in $3.7 million awarded through the Puget Sound Taxpayer Accountability Account, administered by Enterprise Community Partners. Our portion will fund the conversion of an office space at St. Elizabeth Church, our longtime partner site, into a brand new early learning classroom with 15 additional slots for local children. It's the second classroom we've built out in that building, using the same trusted plans and approach as our first. Across King County, this round of funding will create 30 new classrooms and 470 childcare slots at a time when families are struggling to find spots for their kids.

Bingosize is back! Every week this summer, older adults from the community gather for Bingosize, moving together, playing for prizes, and sharing a cultural meal afterward with staff who speak their language.    Last week we visited our Khmer Bingosize class, and the photos say it all! Thank you to our wonderful staff for facilitating another great session and to the Khmer community for sharing their morning with us 💙🧡
