  • Life insurance protection should reflect the people, responsibilities and priorities behind it. And those can change over time. Income changes. Families grow. Businesses evolve. Debt changes. Retirement gets closer. Legacy objectives develop. For financial professionals, a life insurance review is an opportunity to understand what has changed and whether a client’s current coverage still aligns with their protection needs. At its core, life insurance can help provide financial protection for the people and priorities a client cares about. That makes an important question for the conversation: “Does your life insurance still reflect the life you’re protecting?”

  • National Life Group is proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of Gamma Iota Sigma and to connect with the next generation of insurance and financial professionals. • Life insurance is rarely a one-time conversation. As clients' lives evolve, financial professionals have the opportunity to revisit priorities, answer new questions, and provide guidance that reflects changing needs. The value isn't simply helping clients make one decision. It's helping them make informed decisions throughout life's journey.

  • “Is life insurance right for me?” It’s a question financial professionals hear every day, and the answer starts with understanding what matters most to you. If you have people, goals or a future you want to protect, it may be worth discussing with a financial professional. Because good planning starts with the right conversation. • Financial priorities can look different when you take the long view. Protecting the people who count on you. Preserving what you’ve built. Preparing for opportunities ahead. Thinking about the legacy you want to leave. For financial professionals, the opportunity is to help clients see how those priorities can work together, rather than treating each one separately. Because the right financial strategy isn't only about where someone is today. It's about creating flexibility for wherever life takes them next. • Clients don't expect financial professionals to predict every life change. They value professionals who help them navigate those changes with confidence. Each conversation, review, and milestone creates another opportunity to educate, build trust, and strengthen long-term relationships.

  • Thanks Robert X. Fogarty for sharing this reflection. It captures something we believe deeply at National Life Group: leadership starts with listening, connecting, and taking the time to understand one another. Mehran Assadi brings that spirit to his interactions every day. A reminder that our culture is built through the moments when we simply show up for one another.

Dear Respect, I work with companies on mission, vision, values, and the stories that bind people together. I have also heard a lot of CEOs described as servant leaders.   Usually, I hear it from speechwriters, chiefs of staff, or carefully prepared remarks. And more often than I would like to admit, the language is stronger than the practice.   At Dear World events, I often offer leaders a simple invitation:   Come to the photo area. Stand with your people. Help write their messages on their bodies. Ask what the words mean. Listen.   Almost none of them take me up on it.   Maybe it feels too personal. Maybe it feels too unscripted. Maybe there are always more pressing demands on a leader’s time. But every so often, someone says yes.   Mehran Assadi, CEO of National Life Group, did.   At National Life Group’s office in Texas, we photographed 400 people. Mehran did not make a brief appearance. He did not stop for a photo and move on.   He stood in the line.   For hours, he asked associates about their messages. He wrote their words on them. He listened.   “It was one of the most memorable hours in my career as CEO of this company,” he told me later. “I got a chance to listen to my associates in a different way, at a different level.”   One story stayed with him. Two women had worked beside each other for 28 years. They were friends. They knew each other’s routines. They had shared years of ordinary days.   During the Dear World process, one of them shared that she had battled cancer. The other woman was stunned. “How come you never told me?” she asked.   That was the beauty of the process, Mehran said. People let their guards down. They discovered things about one another that proximity alone had never revealed.   For a moment, everyone was operating on the same human level. That is the part I keep returning to.   In most professional settings, listening is structured. It has an agenda, a time limit, and an expected outcome. What happens in Dear World photo lines is often authentic and unscripted. The conversations do not need to resolve anything. They do not need to produce a metric. The act itself is the value.   Years earlier, standing in another Dear World line, Mehran had written two words that would follow him into leadership: Respect All. Mehran says diversity matters because every person brings a different life experience, a different way of seeing, a different story. But difference alone is not enough.   Without respect, proximity does not become a connection. Respect is what makes a difference.   Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/g7bKabVd

  • Life events create natural opportunities to revisit financial priorities. Marriage. Children. Career changes. Retirement preparation. Rather than beginning with products, financial professionals can begin with people! Asking "What's changed since we last talked?" opens the door to meaningful conversations about protecting what matters most.
