  • The vertical AI companies pulling ahead are building with services, hardware, and forward-deployed teams, and the result looks less like a traditional software business. Today at Vertex, our founder and CEO Dan Mishin joined Paul Zeckser of LightTable, Ganesh Ramakrishna of Lyric, and moderator Jason Shuman of Primary Ventures to talk about what that shift looks like in practice. For years, vertical software meant selling tools to an industry for a slice of its software budget. We think the bigger opportunity now is to become the business itself, owning the work, the customer, and the outcome. That's what we built. Manifest Law is an immigration law firm powered by Manifest OS so its attorneys spend their time on legal strategy, not paperwork. Thank you to Rainforest and Vertex: The Vertical Software Conference for having us!

  • The third path for immigration attorneys. For decades, an immigration attorney building a career had two options. Sit inside a large firm — trade autonomy and client relationships for infrastructure, brand, and scale. Run a small firm — keep the autonomy and the craft, but ceiling out on the resources you can bring to any given client. Neither path lets an attorney keep the heart of why they got into this work — the client relationships, the craft, the belief that immigration is a human process, not a transactional one — while also giving them the modern infrastructure, the AI, the operational scale, and the economics to actually build something that matters. Manifest is the third path. Manifest OS is the platform that makes it possible — the software, the workflows, the automation, and the compliance infrastructure that lets attorneys spend their time on strategy, judgment, and clients, and lets the OS handle the paperwork math underneath. The lawyers building here aren't giving up their craft to scale. They're scaling because of it. This week, Matthew Minor joined Manifest Law as Practice Lead. He follows Jeff Joseph, the sitting President of AILA. And they follow a pattern that's now unmistakable: the best immigration attorneys in the country are choosing the third path — the one that didn't exist a year ago. If you're an attorney reading this — thinking about your next chapter, or your first firm, or your exit — there's a new path now. Welcome, Matt. Welcome to everyone thinking about what comes next.

Welcoming Matthew Minor to Manifest Law as Practice Lead. Matt was a Partner at his prior immigration law firm and has spent over 14 years building corporate immigration practices. He's filed over 14,000 cases and represented hundreds of companies — from two-person startups bringing their founders over, to multinationals with thousands of employees and sophisticated global mobility needs. What stood out to us in getting to know Matt: he understands that every client is different. Some need speed. Some need cost. Some need compliance. Some need customer service. In his own words: "you can't just say, 'well, this client always needs this.'" That instinct — to build the practice around what the client actually needs, not what the firm is set up to deliver — is exactly what Manifest is built for. Matt is the latest in a growing bench of senior immigration attorneys choosing to build here, joining Jeff Joseph and the team scaling how we serve corporate clients across H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, PERM, and green card programs. To the immigration attorneys reading this who feel like the way this work gets done today doesn't match the ambition of why you got into it in the first place — the door is open. Something new is being built. And the people building it are the ones who used to feel exactly the way you do right now. Welcome to the team, Matt.

  • Join us in welcoming Harry Uffindell as Manifest's Chief People Officer. Harry began his career as a lawyer before moving into operating roles at Tilt, Airbnb and, most recently, Partly, where he was a founding team member and CPO, taking the company from 5 to 200 people and raising ~$100M in the process. He's spent his career building teams inside companies growing faster than their org charts, which is exactly where Manifest is now. As Chief People Officer, Harry is building the hiring systems and people infrastructure behind Manifest's next stage of growth. Check out Manifest OS open roles here: https://lnkd.in/e7TM5CGf

I couldn't be more excited to welcome Robert Marianski to our engineering team. Anyone who's built scalable services knows the architecture intuition is hard-earned. It comes from incident response, monitoring, owning the systems where being wrong has a business consequence. "Ship it in an hour" and "this deserves three weeks of scaffolding" are both correct answers. Knowing which one you're looking at is the whole job. Rob is a PRO at it, and he's built the machinery that makes the first kind cheap, so there's budget left for the second. He's done this at Snap Inc., at a scale where an outage is a headline, and at Captions / Mirage, where speed and quality are the foundation of their competitive advantage. Rob is completely humble about it, and generous with his time. Everyone around him is a better engineer for it. Bonus: his dad jokes are unmatched. 😆 Happy to be back in the trenches with you - let's cook up another hit. 🚀

  • Today we're excited to welcome Latchi Delchev, GMS-T as Manifest OS's first Global Operations hire. Latchi brings 19+ years in global immigration and mobility, including five years at Boeing managing its global immigration program, time at SIRVA Relocation and Newland Chase, and most recently Strategic Director, Immigration at Mitratech, where she helped corporations and law firms to manage immigration cases at scale. Latchi has spent her career on the operational and technology side of immigration case management, exactly the discipline Manifest OS is built around. She's seen where manual processes break down at volume, and what it actually takes to run it well: SLA accountability, escalation protocols, and data-driven process improvement across high-volume, multi-region caseloads. At Manifest, global mobility and immigration program managers deserve a partner that works the way their programs actually run, not one that adds friction to it. Manifest OS is built to give corporate teams and the employees they sponsor a faster, more transparent immigration experience, with the operational rigor to match. As our first Global Operations hire, Latchi is expanding the global systems, vendor relationships, and process discipline Manifest needs, to continue scaling. Welcome, Latchi! We're hiring, check out our job listings here: https://lnkd.in/e7TM5CGf

Thrilled to share that I have joined Manifest OS as the Global Operations Lead. 😊 Manifest OS is the technology company that builds the software and runs the centralized back office, powering Manifest Law, a technology-enabled immigration law firm handling employment-based, family, and extraordinary ability cases for individuals and businesses. I am excited to help expand a global operational foundation shaped around exactly what fast-growing organizations need to scale: 💚 Technology and process discipline that reduce the administrative burden for *all* stakeholders to a minimum! My connection to this diverse, dynamic #global #immigration industry is deeply personal. I relocated from my birth country, Bulgaria, to the Czech Republic at a young age, followed by a second move to the US as a teenager. From this perspective, I understand the profound importance of every immigration case to the applicant, and their accompanying family members. For employers, the stakes are just as high — the talent being relocated is strategically important, with direct impact on the business. Reflecting back on the past (almost) 20 years of working in this industry, I can honestly say that there has NEVER been a dull moment, and I love that! 😅 I consider it a personal responsibility to ensure that the technology and processes we deploy result in an exceptional experience for these families, while ensuring audit readiness for their employer. Manifest is carving its own path, challenging the status quo, and bringing a new perspective to the market. Beyond the tech, this team truly cares deeply about the client experience. Empathy is still fundamental. ❤️ Special thanks to Gedalia Gillis, Dan Mishin, Matt Gale, Arthur Mor and many other wonderful new colleagues, for the warm welcome! Excited about the future, and what we are building together! 🚀 . . . #CareerUpdate

  • Today, the President of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and former partner at one of the largest immigration law firms has joined Manifest Law. Jeff Joseph: the 79th President of AILA, former Partner at Berry, Appleman & Leiden (BAL), and one of the most accomplished immigration attorneys in the country — is joining Manifest Law - the AI-law firm powered by Manifest OS - as President of Immigration Strategy. That's the part of this story we want to talk about. For decades, legal work has been bottlenecked by the same structural problem: the highest-paid people in the building spend most of their time on the lowest-leverage work. Document collection. Status updates. Form assembly. Manual quality checks. The actual strategy, judgment, and advocacy that clients hire lawyers for gets squeezed into the margins. Manifest OS rebuilds the law firm from the inside. It runs intake, provides AI case drafting and form completion software clear reporting, and quality checks as an AI-native system — so attorneys do the work that actually requires a lawyer, and clients get faster, more transparent, more accurate outcomes. When the President of AILA evaluates what to do next in his career and chooses a firm built on Manifest OS, it tells you something about the future of this industry. We're building the operating system every modern law firm will run on. Immigration is the first practice area at scale. More are coming. Welcome, Jeff. → Read the announcement: https://lnkd.in/gGPMGN4Y → Learn about Manifest OS: manifestos.com

Today we're proud to share that Jeff Joseph — the 79th President of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and a former Partner at Berry, Appleman & Leiden (BAL) — is joining Manifest Law as President of Immigration Strategy. For almost 30 years, Jeff has been one of the most accomplished immigration attorneys in the country. He has built and litigated immigration programs for global enterprises, mid-market employers, and high-growth startups. He has personally taken on the federal government and won — the COVID-19 visa ban, the DOL H-1B wage rule, and the DHS specialty occupation case. When Jeff looked at what comes next, he chose to build at an AI-native immigration law firm. That choice says something about where the profession is going. Here at Manifest, we believe that corporate immigration law needs to change. We believe that clients deserve a transparent, fast and clear visa journey, all while providing companies with upfront outcomes based pricing without nickel and diming clients and providing transparent easy to use reporting capabilities. Manifest Law was built exactly to do that. By pairing experienced immigration attorneys with Manifest OS, the platform that streamlines manual case work and lets lawyers focus on strategy, litigation, and outcomes for clients. Jeff will lead immigration strategy across our corporate practice, complex casework, and federal litigation. He'll also help shape how Manifest Law hires, trains, and supports the next generation of immigration attorneys and will join our government strategies group. Welcome, Jeff. The future of immigration practice is being built here. → Read the full announcement: https://lnkd.in/gGPMGN4Y → Manifest Law is hiring immigration attorneys who want to build the next era of the profession: manifestlaw.com/careers

Dan Mishin moved to America with one phone number. He texted the one person he knew. Got $100K, and then raised $2M for his first US company in weeks. Now his legal tech company Manifest OS is worth $750M. His secret? He was never afraid to ask. Here’s what he told Jason Shuman: "There is a lot of freedom in not having choice. If you have one phone number, what other options did I have? In business, having no choice can be very liberating." Most people don't ask because they're scared of the no. But the no is always free.

Today we watched international founders build products from scratch in a single day. That’s exactly who we’re building Manifest OS for. We power Manifest Law immigration — and moments like today’s event Products by Women Hackathon with Manifest Law, Naimeesha Murthy, Sneha Saigal, Lovable, and Miro remind us what’s at stake behind every feature we ship. The exceptional international talent in that room deserves a system that works as fast as they do. That’s the problem we wake up to solve every day. If that mission resonates — we’re hiring.
