Meet Leah Victor, a Corporate Summer Intern in M&T Bank's Financial Reporting department and a graduate student at State University of New York at Oswego pursuing her Master of Business Administration. Leah's interest in accounting began at a young age. Growing up, she was inspired by her parents' interest in the field, and watching her dad prepare the family's taxes each year sparked her curiosity about financial reporting and accounting. Her advice for future interns? Don't be afraid to ask questions and always volunteer to help. Taking initiative and seeking opportunities to contribute can lead to valuable learning experiences and professional growth. Meet Daniel Steinacher, a Summer Associate on M&T Bank's Human Resources team and a rising senior at the University of Rochester studying Financial Economics and Mathematics. Daniel has always enjoyed analyzing numbers and understanding the story behind the data. His passion lies in turning information into meaningful insights that help drive decision-making, which made his experience on the Compensation team within HR a natural fit. Through his work, he's gained firsthand experience analyzing data, building reports, and helping answer business questions that support the organization. His advice for future interns? Stay curious and ask questions. Taking initiative, showing interest in your work, and building connections across the organization can open the door to meaningful learning opportunities and career growth.
