Leaders from NVIDIA, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, and XAI just signed the White House Accord on Superintelligence, with voluntary commitments on internal controls, detection, and multiple layers of auditing. That raises an important question: when an AI agent crosses organizational boundaries, can the next organization independently verify who is accountable for it? Accountability needs to travel with the agent. At Known, we’re building the capabilities enterprises need to put that into practice, advancing DNSid as an open framework for verifiable agent accountability across organizations, platforms, and systems. https://lnkd.in/grzPh-Qz #AIAgents #AIGovernance #AgentIdentity

An unfamiliar agent shows up in your infrastructure. How do you know whose it is? That's the question at the center of our CTO Naveed Ihsanullah's breakdown of the OpenAI/Hugging Face incident, where the answer took nearly a week and full cooperation between two security teams to work out. DNSid's argument: that shouldn't require an incident. A durable, DNS-based identifier means any system can resolve who's accountable for an agent, verify it cryptographically, and check whether it's still valid, no prior relationship, no dependency on the agent telling the truth about itself. Worth a read if you've ever had to answer "whose agent is this" the hard way. Full piece: https://lnkd.in/gj-btJhq #DNSid #AgentAccountability #AentIdentity #AIagents

AI agents are becoming actors in the digital economy. They need accountability. Agents can already transact, exchange information, and operate across companies, platforms, and systems. But as they cross organizational boundaries, a fundamental question remains: Who is accountable for this agent? Today, we launch Known to help answer that question. Known is building the accountability infrastructure for autonomous AI. At the center of our work is DNSid, an open, neutral framework that gives every AI agent a persistent identity tied to the organization responsible for them, making ownership and accountability verifiable wherever they operate. Built on DNS, PKI, and an immutable log, DNSid works across organizational boundaries without requiring every organization to establish direct trust with every other organization its agents may encounter. Autonomy requires accountability. As agents move across organizational boundaries, who they are and who is responsible for them remain verifiable. The agentic economy requires open, interoperable infrastructure that makes it possible without every organization having to establish direct trust with every other organization. Known launches today as an independent company, spun out of Identity Digital, with substantial work already underway across enterprises, standards organizations, the open-source ecosystem, and policymakers. This is day one. We’re Known. And we’re building for a world where every agent is accountable. https://lnkd.in/gYRvM3Nc #AgenticAI #AI #AIInfrastructure #DNSid #AgenticAccountability
