For the second time, I had the pleasure of joining the IONOS #Summit - once again a great event with around 𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 participants, customers, partners and colleagues.
A few highlights from the day:
1️⃣ Jens Reich, PhD - 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲
Jens kicked off the Summit with an important perspective on where we currently stand in AI and that a new race has only just begun: 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.
2️⃣ 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 - 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗔𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻?
Together with Markus Noga, Frank Karlitschek and fellow panelists, I had the pleasure of discussing what 𝘀𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗔𝗜 actually means for European companies and what role European cloud infrastructure and initiatives such as the 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗜 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝘁 can play.
3️⃣ Markus Noga - 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗦 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱
Markus provided a deep dive into how the 𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗦 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 continues to evolve and how we are pushing 𝗔𝗜, 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘁𝘆 to the next level.
4️⃣ Markus Noga & Patrick Schaudel - 𝗔𝗜 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Together, Markus and Patrick demonstrated another side of AI that I find equally important: our 𝗔𝗜 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺. For small businesses, the value of AI is rarely the technology itself. It is about solving very real problems - making sure no customer call gets lost, reducing administrative work and allowing people to focus on their actual business.
5️⃣ 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 - 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 Marcel Fratzscher
We also had strong external voices contributing to the discussion, including 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘇𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿, who shared his perspective on the broader macroeconomic environment and the challenges Europe is facing.
6️⃣ 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀 - 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲’𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲
The day covered many more topics, including 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, digital sovereignty, cloud infrastructure, AI, security and the future of Europe’s digital ecosystem.
7️⃣ 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
And beyond the stage, the Summit once again delivered what events like this are really about: 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀, 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 with customers, partners and colleagues.
8️⃣ 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆… 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄
A pretty nice way to close a great day.
