We’ve got an exciting new addition to Great Wolf’s annual Howl-O-Ween celebration: The Ghostly Globes. This private, halloween-themed experience of lights, food, and fun includes a “build your own graveyard” dessert, family-friendly games and activities, apple cider, and more. And best of all, they feature an immersive, glittering light show in all directions—featuring dancing lights choreographed to spooky seasonal music. The Ghostly Globes will be available throughout Howl-O-Ween at four lodges, in Grapevinw, TX; LaGrange, Georgia; Great Wolf Pocono Mountains, and Perryville, MD. A huge howl of thanks to all the Pack Members at these lodges who went the extra mile to create this unforgettable new experience for all our guests. We can’t wait to share them with everyone.

We’re celebrating National Human Resources Appreciation Day by recognizing the amazing work done in all of our lodges by our HR team. Rachel O’Connell, our Chief Human Resources Officer, puts it best: “Today at Great Wolf is about recognizing and appreciating the humans who take care of our humans. Our HR team is a reason thousands of pack members feel like they belong here, not just employed here. Today, and every day, I'm proud to lead a team that shows up for people first.” Thank you, HR Pack Members, for all you do!

Great Wolf Lodge in Garden Grove, California, just next to Anaheim, has spent most of the past year undergoing major renovations. Now that the project is more than halfway done, we’re ready to reveal some of the fantastic changes that are already completed. We’re so proud of the incredible accomplishments here—and excited to open them up to all of our future guests.

It’s Security Officer Appreciation Week, and we at Great Wolf are filled with gratitude for the efforts of our Security Officer Pack Members. Melissa Wornick, our Corporate Regional manager for Risk & Aquatics, had this to say about these invaluable members of our Pack: "Behind every safe, welcoming experience at Great Wolf Lodge is a Security Team delivering incredible guest service to protect what matters most: our Guests, our Pack, and the moments we create together." Today is National IT Professionals Day in the United States, and we’re taking the opportunity to recognize the essential role that our Information Technology Pack Members play in our lodges. Phaelen Stuart-Berg, our Corporate Manager of Platform & IT Support, explains their value: “Lodge IT enables our guests to focus on what matters most: making memories with their family. From overnights to early mornings, the dedication of our hard-working Pack Members is an integral part of ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for our guests.” Thank you to our Great Wolf Information Technology Pack Members for all you do.

It’s International Housekeepers Appreciation Week, and we at Great Wolf couldn’t be prouder of our Housekeeping Pack Members. Marva Kinkead, our Director of Hotel Support, says it best: “This week, we celebrate the incredible housekeeping professionals who bring care and pride to our lodges and guest experiences. We recognize, celebrate, and unite across every lodge to say thank you for making unforgettable memories possible.” We’ve giving a howl of appreciation for every single one of our Pack Members in Housekeeping. Thank you for all you do!

Every month, we highlight a Pack Member who went above and beyond in providing excellent service by showcasing the positive feedback left for them by guests at the lodge. This month, we’re featuring Brenda Haynes, a Food & Beverage Server at our Grand Mound, WA lodge since it opened in 2008. These are just two of the many comments left for Brenda complimenting her on a job well done: “Brenda is so, so good at her job! We have had her serve us year after year, and she always recongizes us! That makes us feel special. She is an asset to GWL.” “Brenda was so amazing! She seemed to anticipate our needs before we even needed to ask. She was able to track down my husband’s favorite hot sauce which made brekafast perfect. Brenda was warm, friendly, and so kind. Great Wolf Lodge is so lucky to have her and we we lucky to start off our day with her.” Congratulations to Brenda on her exceptional performance—knowing that our Pack Members are bringing joy to families means everything to us at Great Wolf.

Last week, Great Wolf hosted the Backpack Giveback at all 22 of our U.S. lodges, where anyone could donate a new backpack full of school supplies and receive a pair of complimentary Day Passes to the lodge in exchange. We collected more than twenty-five hundred backpacks, as well as our corporate office Pack Members donating over $12,000 in additional back-to-school materials. The backpacks and supplies are now on their way to students in local communities around each lodge—thanks to everyone who participated!
