From the big screen to the trails of Prospect Park, we spent a Climate Week NYC afternoon looking at climate action from new perspectives. We started with a screening of "The Little Town That Could," a film about how one New York community is putting decarbonization into practice, followed by a conversation with the filmmakers about lessons for effective local advocacy. Then we crossed the street into Prospect Park with the WILD BIRD FUND to explore Brooklyn's wildlife and urban ecosystems, a reminder that the natural world we're working to protect is right in our backyard. Thank you to everyone who joined us! #ClimateWeekNYC #ClimateAction #CleanEnergy

A conversation that started at #DTECH is continuing behind the mic. EnergyHub’s Max B. joins Emma Heins of Advanced Energy United, Kari Gehrke of Alliant Energy, and Bartlett Jackson of Sunrun to discuss what it takes to move distributed energy resources from pilots to dependable, scalable grid resources. The conversation explores the practical realities of scaling virtual power plants, including utility partnerships, customer participation, dispatch performance, data visibility, market design, and compensation. As utilities navigate rising demand, extreme weather, aging infrastructure, and affordability pressures, the panel examines how customer-owned resources can help improve reliability, reduce peaks, strengthen resilience, and deliver value for both customers and the grid. The conversation around grid flexibility isn’t about virtual power plants or traditional grid infrastructure. It’s about using the right resource, in the right place, at the right time. That was a key theme from our #ClimateWeekNYC panel, “Fairness, flexibility, and the future of the grid,” moderated by Erika Diamond. As electricity demand grows, distributed flexibility can help utilities respond faster and more cost-effectively. Three ideas stood out: speed matters, market economics need to evolve, and customers should share in the value they help create. Thank you to Ben Hertz-Shargel, Brett Lotito, and Joshua Tom for bringing perspectives from regulation, energy markets, and utility operations, and to everyone who joined the discussion. #ClimateWeek #virtualpowerplants #gridflexibility

How can we unlock more value from the distributed energy resources already connected to the grid? Our CRO Erika Diamond joined Advanced Energy Group to discuss demand flexibility, customer participation, and how the industry can scale proven approaches to meet evolving grid needs. Catch the conversation below.
“We already have the tech, we just need to figure out how to supercharge people's participation in programs that already exist.” - Erika Diamond, SVP & Chief Revenue Officer, EnergyHub In this episode, Erica Diamond explores how demand flexibility and distributed energy resources can help New York meet growing energy needs while keeping electricity affordable. She highlights the importance of making programs simple and accessible for customers, increasing participation, and finding ways to unlock more value from resources that are already in place. ⚡ Unlocking Demand Flexibility: Existing DERs can provide valuable flexibility to help address growing load and support the grid. 🙌 Making Participation Easier: Simple, customer-friendly programs can make it easier for people to understand the value of participating. 💰 Maximizing DER Value: Combining different value streams can create stronger incentives for customers while supporting grid needs. 🤝 Scaling What Works: Bringing stakeholders together to identify proven approaches can help strengthen successful programs without adding unnecessary technology or administration. 🎧 Listen to the full episode on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/eHHcQhSi #Energy #GridOptimization #EnergyAffordability #DemandFlexibility #DERs #VirtualPowerPlants #GridResilience #EnergyInnovation #NewYork #CleanEnergy

What does it take to turn distributed resources into reliable grid capacity? That’s one of the questions our CRO Erika Diamond will explore at Latitude Media’s Flex Summit, sharing practical lessons from EnergyHub’s work with utilities across North America. If you’re attending, join the session to hear how utilities are putting flexibility to work in the real world. #FlexSummit #virtualpowerplants #DERs
At Flex Summit 2026, we’re bringing together solution providers developing the technologies needed to scale grid flexibility and virtual power plant programs. We’re excited to have Erika Diamond, SVP and Chief Revenue Officer at EnergyHub, take the stage in Austin. Erika will share insights from that work, addressing how these systems and data help utilities unlock and scale reliable, customer-centric flexibility programs. “This is a pivotal moment for our energy system. Elected officials, regulators, utilities, and households must come together to solve increasing demand, aging infrastructure, and rising costs—and demand flexibility is central to that solution. We have the tools we need today. Investing in a flexible grid will positively shape the trajectory of our energy system for decades to come.” Hear from Erika and other industry leaders in Austin on October 14-15 as we tackle the work of aligning data, infrastructure, affordability, and policy to scale distributed capacity.
