Natasha Anderson — University of Virginia, First Year
Natasha is passionate about addressing public health disparities and hopes to build a career that combines scientific research with policy and community action. She co-founded the Shelter Support Society, which supports hundreds of families through weekly supply distributions and community partnerships. Natasha has dedicated years to volunteering at local homeless shelters and expanding access to resources for underserved populations.
Thubelihle Ndaba — The College of St. Scholastica, Sophomore
Thubelihle aspires to become an actuary focused on strengthening financial protection systems for families facing economic uncertainty. He independently passed four Society of Actuaries exams and secured actuarial internships with Reinsurance Group of America and Corebridge Financial. Dedicated to service, mentoring, and supporting STEM education initiatives, his leadership and perseverance exemplify the transformative power of education and opportunity.
Anjolaoluwa Odomo — Fisk University, Junior
Anjolaoluwa is dedicated to leveraging technology to improve healthcare access and outcomes. Her impressive academic and research accomplishments include being named a W.E.B. Du Bois Honors Scholar, researching neurodegenerative disease biomarkers at Yale University, and contributing to treatment research at the University of Illinois Chicago. Beyond research, Anjolaoluwa serves as Head of Recruitment for Girls Who Code and as a representative for the African Students Association.
Krish Panchal — University of Houston, First Year
Krish plans to become a physician to underserved communities while contributing to biomedical research. He has already built an impressive foundation through research at Baylor College of Medicine’s Ferreon Lab, where he studied protein aggregation in neurodegenerative diseases. Outside the lab, Krish has served as a hospice volunteer, tutor, and community volunteer, providing compassionate support to patients, families, and students.
Kyla Payne — Spelman College, First Year
Kyla plans to become an OB-GYN and open birthing centers that provide accessible, culturally competent care for underserved mothers. As a Certified Nursing Assistant and CPR-certified caregiver, Kyla has gained hands-on healthcare experience while demonstrating compassion and leadership. Through her nonprofit, Reach Beyond Hope, she has organized donation drives, raised more than $2,000 for community initiatives, and established a pop-up food pantry to support local families.
