The continued attacks on physician expertise and evidence-based decision making do nothing but create harm - for physicians and patients. The recent comments made by Secretary Kennedy about AI replacing physician expertise is potentially dangerous and undermines the importance of the physician-patient relationship. AI should complement, not replace, the training and clinical judgment of a physician. Our patients deserve no less. ACP will continue to stand up and speak out against rhetoric and baseless attacks that diminish the value of and role of physicians and their ability to provide evidence-based patient care: https://bit.ly/4hnMFQ3
