Making data from the Internet of Things computable Universal data accumulator for devices, sensors, programs, humans & more

The Wolfram Data Drop is an open service that makes it easy to accumulate data of any kind, from anywhere—setting it up for immediate computation, visualization, analysis, querying, or other operations.

The Wolfram Data Drop uses WDF (Wolfram Data Framework) to add semantics to data and make it computable.
Collections and time series of computable data are stored in named databins in the Wolfram Cloud and are instantly
accessible from all Wolfram Language and other systems. Quick Reference

Any Kind of Data—Complete with Semantics

Through WDF (Wolfram Data Framework), the Wolfram Data Drop can handle—and make semantic—any
kind of data.

Numbers Measured Quantities Times Geolocations Entities Text Images…

400+ data types and 6,500+ measured quantities with automatic linguistics & format conversion

  • COMPLETE DATA SEMANTICS

WDF defines semantics for all types of data—leveraging the Wolfram Knowledgebase used for Wolfram|Alpha.

  • IF THERE'S A UNIT, WE KNOW IT

WDF has the world's broadest coverage of units of measure and related constructs.

  • CANONICAL ENTITIES FOR EVERYTHING

Cities, species, chemicals, movies: all have associated canonical entities in WDF.

  • AUTOMATIC LINGUISTICS & CANONICALIZATION

The Wolfram Natural Language Understanding System interprets free-form input in terms of canonical semantic forms.

  • NUMERICAL PRECISION PROPERLY HANDLED

WDF supports full tagging and tracking of numerical precision.

  • SYMBOLIC MISSING DATA

Missing data is seamlessly handled in Data Drop time series.
