Without , ISPs could give some sites "fast lane" treatment and demote others. Now imagine if those sites are NEWS sites people rely on to help them learn about the world. Would YOU stick around to read news if articles took 30 secs to load?

There may be no greater threat to democracy than the suppression of free speech, and much of the info, facts and opinions we're exposed to these days we access on… you guessed it… THE INTERNET.

In a -less world, there is NO STOPPING an ISP like Comcast or Verizon from becoming traffic cops (and toll collectors) of the global online marketplace.

Net neutrality keeps the internet open and accessible to both big retailers AND indie shops alike, so that a small business, say a woodworker in rural Arkansas, could feasibly reach customers anywhere in the world with a simple digital storefront.

This document is historic. It's the discharge petition filed today in the Senate to force a vote to overturn the decision late last year to roll back . Keep making noise. Keep making a ruckus. Keep working to .

Better, faster, stronger... For a price 💰💰💰 Picture this: As a gamer, you pay $400 for a system, another $50 for the game. Then you have to pay to play your game online. Without , ISPs can (some already do!) charge more to ensure that your game runs smoothly.

In countries where they have no net neutrality protections, ISPs offer packages that count data differently based on the apps you want to use. So maybe you can stream Pitch Perfect 3 at hyperspeed, but it'll cost ya.

No , no chill. Without net neutrality rules in place, there's no preventing ISPs from tacking on fees for access to streaming video, which could really throw a wrench into those bingefests.

Net neutrality maintains that all web traffic should be treated equally. So no Internet Service Provider is allowed to throttle, block access, censor, charge extra $ or give preferential treatment to different web content. (Image via )
