WebUpd8 PPAs Status

There is a bug in YAD, the GUI used by Y PPA Manager which makes the list dialogs freeze under Ubuntu 14.04 for some users.

I’ve reported the bug to the YAD developer but until it’s fixed, I’ve added a work-around: the YAD package for Ubuntu 14.04 is now built with GTK2, which makes both YAD and Y PPA Manager work in Ubuntu 14.04.

Haguichi 1.0.24 changelog:

KKEdit 0.1.0 is available in the main WebUpd8 PPA. Changes:

Grive is a command line Google Drive sync tool for Linux. Today I’ve updated Grive with the code from THIS branch which adds various fixes:

• YAJL fux
• JSON-C not found fix
• Define PACKAGE & PACKAGE_VERSION for bfd
• Add delay before auth token refresh
• Fix hang when upload receives HTTP 500. This is sometimes necessary to prevent too frequent requests.
• Retry upload on XML error instead of crashing (Sometimes the Google Drive API sends malformed XML which crashes grive. This patch adds a simple try-catch to Resource::Upload that retries the upload if an XML exception is thrown from AuthAgent::Put.)

youtube-dl-gui (Youtube-dlG) 0.3 was released and is available in the main WebUpd8 PPA.

Changes:

• you can now select the YouTube DASH format for both video and audio
• optionally, delete the audio-only and video-only DASH files
• when you run it for the first time, youtube-dl-gui now asks where to save the youtube-dl binary - this can also be changed from the youtube-dl-gui options

I already applied these changes a couple of days ago, but I’m not a programmer so my fixes were not ideal. The upstream developer has now implemented these properly.

Brackets Sprint 37 is available in the WebUpd8 Brackets PPA. Changes:
