1611/ At Ferrara the death of Anthony Possevino, an Italian employed by Gregory XIII for embassies to Sweden, Russia, Poland and Germany. He founded colleges and seminaries in Cracow, Olmutz, Prague, Braunsberg and Vilna. He also wrote 24 books.
