Job Opportunities

A Boston-based company seeks Development/Test Engineer(s) to work with software/hardware team developing state-of-the-art networking technologies.

Responsibilities : Create directed tests based upon examination of system SW/HW designs and develop test tools and methodologies. Develop and execute product functionality, performance and scaling tests; verify system functionality, performance and scalability.

Experience : Testing routers in network simulation scenarios, setting up test topologies to verify protocol implementation scaling limits, performance testing routers (performance test methodologies and RFCs), test tools (SmartBits), network interfaces (DS3, Sonet, Ethernet) and test automation languages (Perl and TCL). Wan and Lan communication protocols, UNIX and C background required. Experience with performance testing and protocol testing (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, Multicast, MPLS, RSVP, RIPv2) required. IOS System Knowledge, Cisco 7200, 7300, GSR, CAT6000 knowledge, System Testing for QA group.

Required : AS/BS Electrical Engineering Technology or 3+ years equivalent experience.

When leaving Logan Airport, follow the signs for Sumner Tunnel (I-93)/Boston. Go through the Sumner Tunnel and take the I-93 North / US-1 North / Route 3 North ramp. Take I-93 North toward Concord NH. Follow I-93 North approximately 10 miles. Take the I-95 South / Route 128 South Exit. Travel approximately 5 miles to US-3 North / Middlesex Turnpike Exit.

Follow the signs to US-3 North. Travel 5 miles to the Concord Road Exit (Exit 27). Turn right off the ramp. Federal Street is the first street on the right. Turn right and follow Federal Street to the end. Hammerhead Networks is the ground floor of the last building on the right.

From the Mass Pike:

From the Massachusetts Turnpike take the I-95/Route 128 exit. Merge onto I-95 North/Route 128 North. Travel approximately 10.5 miles and take the US-3 North/Middlesex Turnpike Exit. Follow US-3 North approximately 5 miles to the Concord Road exit (Exit 27). Turn right off the ramp. Federal Street is the first street on the right. Turn right and follow Federal Street to the end. Hammerhead Networks is the ground floor of the last building on the right.

From New Hampshire:

Take the Everett Turnpike South to Route 3 and MA. Follow Route 3 South past I-495 to the Concord Road exit (Exit 27). Turn right off the ramp. Federal Street is the first street on the right that's not an entrance to Route 3. Turn right on Federal Street and go to the end. Hammerhead Networks is the ground floor of the last building on the right.
