We went to RAISE Summit in Paris for a tech roundup and six interviews. Here's what actually stood out: The exciting AI work isn't the chatbots, it's the plumbing (storage, compute, observability, cost control) that makes any of it usable at scale. Governance is the real gate. Sovereignty and trust hold industries back, from the public sector to healthcare, not capability. Every credible voice we spoke to landed on the same point: AI recommends, humans decide. The gap isn't the tools, it's the ways of working. The teams winning right now are learning to manage AI like a team member, not a feature. And the next frontier isn't on a screen: small models doing specific jobs, AI stepping into the physical world. The most exciting innovation right now isn't loud.
