You can get quick access to Gemini directly from your Windows desktop with the Gemini app. Get answers, draft content, and brainstorm ideas across apps and your web browser.
What you need
- A personal Google Account or a work or school Google Account with access to Gemini turned on by your administrator.
- A PC running Windows 10 or later.
- 8 GB of RAM or more.
- At least 200 MB of available disk space for installation.
- A stable internet connection.
Download and install the Gemini app for Windows
- Go to gemini.google/desktop on your PC.
- Click Download
and save the
GeminiSetup.exefile. - Open the downloaded
GeminiSetup.exefile and follow the instructions on screen. - Open your Start menu and double-click Gemini
.
- Sign in with your Google Account.
Tips:
- For quick access to Gemini, you can use the keyboard shortcut Alt + Space.
- If an update is available, you’ll get a notification in the bottom right when you open Gemini for Windows. Click Restart to update to restart Gemini and install the update
