Our people get to work with some great people in great places. Francisco Molina is one of our delivery leads who has the privilege of turning agreements into actions. Congratulations on the step up into the new role of Value & Insights Director We love the energy you bring to the team! Pacific Islands Tax Administrators Association

Palau wasn’t on my list for this year but I can tick that now. What a great place!  Why was I here? I joined Jane Grant from DataTorque Ltd to meet with current clients and possible new ones at PITAA (Pacific Islands Tax Administrators) Annual Heads Meeting.  As you may already know I have a new role in DataTorque.  One that has me connecting clients with insights and improving how they deliver tax to their people. Jane did a great presentation on how our clients can get closer to smarter tax administration.  It started a lot of good conversations with good people.

  • We love a good video. Especially when its our own people! We have a great team of Tax experts and Mary O'Leary loves to lead from the front. #einvoicing is something we are moving towards now with more momentum and alongside that we see technology makers creating new frontier #ai models that can speed up digital compliance with an increased accuracy that gets better with every release. Keep an eye out for more content and reach out to talk to one of our experts.

  • Looking after clients in the Pacific means we can lift those closest to us. We had a team at the PITAA Conference in Palau a few weeks ago and the theme was rising with the tides. Our head of Customer success Jane Grant and Customer insights Francisco Molina attended and joined clients and other pacific nations. We had great discussions about some of the common difficulties in tax administration. Often being able to show them how we handled those difficulties using current tools. Below is Jane in action talking about the ramp up of AI in improving its abilities. Imagine doubling in speed every 4 months. If you missed it message us to find out more.

  • We back our team to find different ways to solve problems. Anyone can buy the tools, the advantage is a culture that gives people time and permission to experiment. The impact of the AI Factory and the hackathons shows we're changing how we build, not just how fast we build.   Take a read of Randika's post to hear his experience 👇

"AI transformation is not about giving people an AI tool. It is about changing how people work." That is why I particularly appreciate my company's initiatives like our AI Factory Day and Hackathons. DataTorque Ltd gives employees something incredibly valuable: time, tools, direction, and permission to experiment. Automate what is predictable. Use AI where intelligence is needed. Keep humans responsible for judgement. AI doesn't just change the software we build. It can change how we build software. #AI #SoftwareEngineering #AIAgents #Automation #Innovation #TechLeadership #FutureOfWork Read my article below.

  • 💬 "Models will come and go. Value comes from the context, governance and orchestration built around them." Evan Wilson, our VP of Advisory, Data & AI, on what he took from three weeks of conversations in North America 🌎 His point travels well beyond enterprise IT. For a revenue authority the question is rarely which model to buy. It's whether what you've built around it holds up when a decision gets challenged. Worth a read 👇 #AI #TaxAdministration #GovTech #DataGovernance #DigitalGovernment

I've returned from three weeks in North America and, thanks to jet lag, have been awake since 4am replaying conversations about real-world AI adoption (and a surprising amount of baseball). A few themes stood out: The future of enterprise AI isn't choosing a winning tool, deploying another co-pilot, or who owns the LLM. It's creating an ecosystem where many tools, models and agents can work together safely and consistently. That requires shared context, governance, orchestration, and clear human accountability for the decisions they influence. Get that right, and people focus less on systems and more on outcomes. Models will come and go. Value comes from the context, governance and orchestration built around them. ...and let's go Red Sox!

  • It was a genuine honour to welcome His Excellency Mr Sampath Prasanna Walpita Gamage, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to New Zealand, and Ms Kasuni Wijethunga, Second Secretary at the High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Zealand, to our Wellington office for a special gathering with our Sri Lankan colleagues. The visit began with the traditional lighting of the oil lamp, setting a meaningful tone for an afternoon of connection, cultural celebration, and shared experiences. Our Sri Lankan team members came together to share traditional food, celebrate their heritage, and engage in rich conversations about culture, community, and belonging. They generously spent time with each of our Sri Lankan staff members, sharing personal stories and reflecting on the importance of maintaining strong connections between Sri Lankans abroad and their homeland. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to celebrate the contribution of our Sri Lankan colleagues and to strengthen ties with the wider Sri Lankan community in New Zealand. It was a proud and memorable occasion for everyone involved. We extend our sincere thanks to His Excellency Mr Sampath Prasanna Walpita Gamage and Ms Kasuni Wijethunga for their time, warmth, and generosity, and we look forward to continuing this relationship in the years ahead. #SriLanka #Wellington #DataTorque #HighCommissionofSriLankainNewZealand
