a note from the author

AndroidIDE started with a frustration of my own. I wanted to write code on my phone, and there simply wasn't a good way to do it. So I set out to build one.

What it became, thanks to you, was far more than a workaround. It grew into thousands of people who believed you shouldn't need an expensive laptop to build something real. To everyone who opened an issue, translated a string, sent a pull request, donated, or just told a friend: thank you. You kept this project alive far longer than one developer ever could have alone.

A special thank you to Marvin, who started this with me and then took on its running costs himself, and has carried them right up to today.

AndroidIDE is closing, but the idea behind it, making development reachable from the device already in your pocket, is being carried forward.

Keep building. ๐ŸŒ‡
