Reading a traffic log often meant leaving it to work out which rule had matched a request. The log detail view now shows the triggered rule directly, including its trigger and the actions it applied. The request URL can also be displayed in parsed mode, splitting scheme, host, path and query parameters, which helps with long parameter-heavy URLs. AI crawlers and LLM tools parse Markdown more reliably than full HTML, but serving a Markdown version of a site usually means backend work. The new Convert HTML to Markdown action does it at the edge: redirection.io converts the HTML response on the fly, with no change to your application. The usual setup is content negotiation, so a client sending Accept: text/markdown gets Markdown while browsers keep the HTML page. Our Convert HTML to Markdown recipe installs that for a folder or the whole site, adding the Vary: Accept header and returning the right content type. Setting up notifications in redirection.io used to require creating a channel first, then wiring events to it. Enough users missed that first step that we removed it: every new project now gets an email notification channel out of the box, so enabling alerts for traffic anomalies, rule publications or managed instance events is only a matter of picking which events to send. The email channel now accepts a list of addresses, with separate switches for all project members, all project administrators, and the author of the action that triggered the notification. Duplicate content and redirect loops are hard to spot on a large site, and our crawl report did not surface them until now. The redirection.io crawler flags near-identical pages using a simhash fingerprint, lists pages caught in a redirect loop or redirecting to an error, and shows how word count is distributed across crawled pages. Crawls are also more configurable: custom HTTP headers, a delay between requests, automatic retry on HTTP error, and an option to ignore robots.txt, noindex and nofollow directives, which makes staging environments and sites behind a WAF crawlable.
