Help Shape the Future of .AU Domains For every Australian business owner and domain investor, the Australian Domain Administration (auDA) is reviewing the .au Licensing Rules, and the proposed changes could have a real impact on business owners that own more than one domain, domain investors, portfolio owners, and SEO companies that register domains. Current .au eligibility policies are often misunderstood, creating unnecessary public confusion around legitimate domain investing. Some think that if a domain name is acquired by an investor and is not currently in use, it constitutes an unfair holding and should be made exclusively available to an operational business in that industry. Some of the suggestions provided by the panel will severely affect anyone who owns multiple domain names. Some of the points raised were covered by Domainer https://lnkd.in/gcJnYjh5 Australia already has the world's most restrictive domain namespace, and if some of the panel's suggestions are adopted, it would become even more restrictive severely reducing the value of .com.au domains and encourge businesses to use other extensions like .com .ai .io .co etc..
