OMV achieves a clean CCS Operating Result of EUR 1.7 bn in Q2 2026 #OMV CEO, Alfred Stern: “Despite the volatile market environment and regulatory market interventions, OMV delivered a strong result in the second quarter of 2026. All business segments reported positive contributions to the result and once again provided superb proof of the resilience of our integrated portfolio. Supply security for our customers was ensured even in the face of turbulence on the market. Major milestones in the second quarter were the start of production of our gas fields in Wittau, the largest gas discovery in Austria for decades, the topping out ceremony at our state-of-the-art innovation and development center in Schwechat, and further concrete progress on Neptun Deep, an offshore natural gas development project of our subsidiary OMV Petrom. OMV is advancing well on the transformation path with these visible milestones. I pass the baton to my successor Emma Delaney full of pride, and I wish her all the very best.” #ForwardforGood

Our commitment to Europe's energy transition hasn't changed. What the past few years have sharpened is our sense of what it takes to deliver one. A transition is measured less by its targets than by its reliability. The question is no longer only where power comes from on a good day, but whether the system holds on a difficult one. That is where our focus sits: on the supply and infrastructure that keep European energy dependable while it changes. Ambition and security are not competing priorities. Each is what makes the other possible. Read more in our magazine: https://lnkd.in/dPjK6zTR #EnergyTransition #EnergySecurity #OMV

Welcome to another edition of Stories of Impact. This week, we’re looking at how #OMV is strengthening regional and international collaborations to scale geothermal energy, green hydrogen, and circular solutions. From large-scale funding agreements to real-world circular applications, each story reflects how we turn ambition into measurable impact. We highlight the EUR 450 million loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) supporting OMV’s green hydrogen production plant as well as OMV and Energie Steiermark AG joining forces with the project “Tiefenkraft”. This edition takes you behind the scenes of further geothermal energy developments in Aspern, Vienna together with Wien Energie GmbH, a circular economy partnership in action with Valio and our celebration of seven decades of progress. #ForwardforGood

From end-of-life plastics to butter packaging: What began as a challenge for Finnish dairy producer Valio has evolved into a scalable circular solution driven by collaboration across the value chain. • The challenge: To meet upcoming PPWR requirements, Valio needed to integrate recycled content into its packaging, without compromising quality, safety, or performance. • The solution: End-of-life plastics are converted into chemically recycled feedstock using #OMV’s ReOil® technology. This secondary raw material is then processed by Borouge International into high-quality polymers suitable for food-grade applications. • The result: Butter cups containing 30% recycled content, allocated through a certified mass balance approach, while maintaining the same performance and appearance as conventional materials. Circular feedstock is established, scalable, and already delivering real-world impact. Find out more in our poster! #ForwardforGood

Decarbonizing heat is one of the practical challenges of the energy transition. And geothermal energy can help address it by turning natural heat from deep below ground into a stable, renewable source of energy for homes, heating networks, major sites and industries. At #OMV, our ambition is to deliver 1 TWh of geothermal energy each year by 2030. In Vienna, this is already moving from potential to practice. Together with Wien Energie GmbH, we are developing the city’s first deep geothermal plant, planned to supply climate-neutral district heating for up to 25,000 households from 2029. Green hydrogen is an important pillar of the energy transition, offering a route to decarbonization for industries that rely on hydrogen as a feedstock. As demand grows, we’re advancing with large-scale green hydrogen projects in Austria and Romania – strengthening our portfolio and expanding the supply of sustainable fuels and chemicals. Explore the overview of our projects across both #OMV and OMV Petrom. Want to learn more about green hydrogen? The European Investment Bank (EIB) has granted a EUR 450 million loan to support the construction of #OMV’s green hydrogen production plant, making a significant contribution to the decarbonization of the Schwechat refinery in Lower Austria. The 140 MW plant in Bruck an der Leitha is already at a construction stage and scheduled to commence operations by the end of 2027. Using renewable energy, OMV will produce up to 23,000 tons of green hydrogen per year. Discover more here: https://lnkd.in/dpStt3rw #ForwardforGood

Welcome to a special edition of Stories of Impact. This week, we’re marking 70 years of #OMV. Seven decades of innovation, responsibility, and progress, shaped by generations of people who have helped build our company and move it forward. This anniversary gives us a chance to celebrate how far we’ve come, and to look with purpose at the responsibility we carry into the years ahead. Since 1956, the world around us has changed profoundly, and OMV has changed with it. We began with a focus on securing the energy Austria needed for post-war development. Today, the challenge is broader and more complex: to reconcile a secure energy supply and industrial value creation with climate protection. #ForwardforGood

Seventy years ago, #OMV was founded with a single mission: supply a recovering Austria with energy. Today, the company employs 22,300 people, generates around EUR 24 billion in revenue, and is in the middle of the most ambitious transformation in its history. From geothermal energy beneath Vienna and chemical recycling at Schwechat, to sustainable aviation fuels in Romania and green hydrogen already in operation – the next chapter is focused on the energy transition. As CEO Alfred Stern puts it: "We think in cycles rather than linearity, partnership rather than going it alone, innovation rather than standstill." Seventy years on, the next era begins now. #ForwardforGood
